Dr. Mia Anne Villanueva-Perez is a dedicated and continuously evolving dental professional with clinical experience in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, with areas of practice encompassing Orthodontics, Periodontics, Dental Surgery, Dental Implantology, and Esthetic Dentistry. Her professional journey is distinguished by a strong
commitment to continuing education, evidence-based dentistry, and compassionate patient care.

Dr. Perez passed the Philippines Licensure Examination for Dentists in December 2011 and subsequently passed the Saudi Council of Health Prometric Examination in
September 2016, allowing her to further expand her professional experience and clinical exposure internationally.

Academic Excellence and Early Professional Development

During her academic years at Lyceum Northwestern University, Dr. Perez was a consistent Dean’s Lister and Academic Scholar from 2009 to 2011. She was also a
recipient of the Colgate-Palmolive and Philippine Association of Dental Colleges Scholarship, Batch 2009–2010. Her dedication to both clinical excellence and leadership was recognized when she received the Best Clinician and Leadership Award among her graduating batch.

Driven by her passion for comprehensive and esthetic dental care, she pursued postgraduate education in Esthetic Dentistry through the Philippine Academy of Esthetic Dentistry at Centro Escolar University, Manila. She further strengthened her clinical competencies through continuing education and specialized training in Implant Dentistry at Warantec Implant Academy, as well as preceptorship in Orthodontics under the Orthodontic Practical Group. Her surgical training includes education in complicated extractions and dental surgery, particularly odontectomy and apicoectomy, through Dental Collaborations Oro-Maxillofacial and Implantology Center. She also completed the Basic Training Course in Occupational Dental Health at the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila.

Recognizing the importance of periodontal health in achieving long-term oral health and successful dental implant treatment, Dr. Perez progressively developed her expertise in Periodontics. Mendiola, Manila, where she distinguished herself through academic excellence and research. She was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate Research Awardee, reflecting
her dedication to advancing dental knowledge through scholarly research and her commitment to excellence in the field of dentistry.

Her graduate studies further developed her expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, as well as the comprehensive management of patients requiring periodontal and implant-related care. Her advanced academic training reinforces her commitment to providing treatment grounded
in current scientific evidence, sound clinical judgment, and individualized patient needs.

Implant Dentistry and Surgical Training
Dr. Perez has consistently pursued advanced education in implant dentistry and oral surgery. In June 2023, she participated in specialized training in Implant and Perioplastic Surgery through KAOMI-PCOI and Osteem Implant, held in Seoul, South Korea.

She has also pursued continuing education in implant dentistry through the Asia Pacific Academy of Implant Dentistry, further broadening her exposure to contemporary concepts and techniques in implant treatment. Her combination of periodontal education, implant training, and surgical experience provides
her with a comprehensive perspective in the planning and management of patients requiring periodontal and implant rehabilitation.
